Instead of divisions with diverse business interests living their separate lives within an organization, can they derive business advantage from the diversity? We were given this unique responsibility of creating cross-division synergy and growing awareness within external business audiences. How did we do that? Through some heavy legwork involving talking to stakeholders from business units within the group, understanding their business and pain points and cross-pollinating.
Further, we went on LinkedIn whole-hog, creating interesting content, drawing from the discussions we had been having. What emerged was gave the divisions the much desired exposure, internally and externally, in ways that they hadn’t envisaged.
